Silver Stare Spares was originally started in 1985 by Keith Mitchell. Keith was one of the first to start wholesaling Mercedes-Benz parts to the trade. Silver Star Spares rapidly grew into a well known parts supplier supplying the Sydney Metro and Outer Sydney Metropolitan area. It was not long before they started supplying Mercedes parts Australia wide. Sadly Keith passed away in 2001 and Silver Star Spares was continued by Keith's son in-law. A new chapter began in 2006 when Silver Star Spares was sold to Barrie Teasdell.

Barrie has been in the motor trade since 1967 when he started out at York Motors as a Panel Beater. In 1976 he opened his own Smash Repair Business in Rozelle. Having been on the other end of the phone ordering parts for his own company, Barrie knew what changes were necessary in order to build Silver Star Spares into a truly successful parts wholesaler. After the purchase in 2006 the company was restructured to bring in the very best parts interpreters in the industry to ensure the highest level of customer service available. Since then Silver Star Spares has grown to be one of the largest privately owned Australian companies supplying Mercedes Benz Parts.

Silver Star Spares is known throughout the trade for its outstanding knowledge and expertise that comes from having top staff with over 150 years of combined experience between them.
